Issue
When logging into the Zone Data Portal (ZDP) for the first time using your Microsoft credentials, you may encounter a screen prompt that says: "Request pending" or "Approval required."
Why is this happening?
This is a standard Microsoft security feature. Many IT departments restrict "User Consent," meaning employees cannot grant new third-party applications access to corporate data without approval.
How to Resolve It
The Request is Automatic: When you see this screen, a notification is typically sent automatically to your internal IT team.
Contact Your Helpdesk/IT Administrator: Send a quick note to your IT department.
“I am trying to log into the Zone Data Portal and need 'Admin Consent' to proceed. Can you please approve the request for my account?”
Wait for the Email: Once your IT Admin approves the request, you will receive an automated email from Microsoft. You can then click your original invite link again to log in successfully.
